National Museum of Ban Chiang

One of the few historic places in Udon ProvinceWithout GPS not easy to find , as roadsigns showing the way are rare and sometime misleading. The village is mostly old houses of wood on cement pillars and many souvenir shops..The entrance fees for locals ( Thai ) and " foreigners " are far apart but my wife showed my local ID card and I only had to pay Thai price. The museum was air conditioned and modern glass show vitrines where nicely lightend so it was easy to see everything clearly, It was a pottery and bronze tool produczion center going back up to 5000 years,

It's a collection that has a very beautiful pattern design. I like it. I can imagine the pattern in Hai as well.

Ban Chiang is an old tourist attraction with many ancient objects. Invite everyone to admire a lot.

You can take the bus from Udon Thani Bus Terminal. The time is about an hour. Get off and walk about 300 meters and take a tuk-tuk. It costs 200 baht to and from, and you can ask for about 30 minutes. The staff were friendly and I was able to learn about Neolithic relics and the origin of Southeast Asian culture.
