Evocative, windswept historical ruins on a pretty island.
A very nice peaceful site on a pretty island with nice views. Some interesting boards with interpretation on it. Worth diverting here if you're driving around Strangford Lough. Won't take more than 30...
An oasis of peace, beauty and tranquillity with superb views(weather allowing over Strangford Lough!)
Somehow you always end up meeting interesting people at Nendrum, artists, photographers and a wide assortment of locals and tourists. A useful little on site "museum" explains much of the history. mai...

Quick visit
Not a whole lot to see but quiet and peaceful in the sunshine. Children would want to leave after a few minutes! A very twisty narrow access road.
Peaceful
Was a Christian monastery, now in ruins. Some of the ruins have information plaques. Dog friendly. Free admission. Located on a long & windy road.
Beautiful countryside views
Set in a beautiful part of Co Down , free to visit and enough on site to give an appreciation of what life would have been like
