    Great place to visit.

Took a few hours to get there, train part of the way, 300 yen then walked the rest. Lovely temple, if you are into the 88 trail then a must visit of course.

52 Banfudasho Taizanji Temple Located on the outskirts of Matsuyama City, there was also a golf practice area with the crown of professional golfer Hideki Matsuyama nearby. Free parking is just past Niomon. The slopes continued sloppy from the parking lot to the main hall of the national treasure, and it took a little time, but the atmosphere was good.

    52 fudasho. walk from ichinomon

About 10 km from Matsuyama station. From Ichinomon to Niomon, I thought I finally arrived. After passing the sutra office and climbing the stairs, the main hall is finally reached. Is the distance not so much about 300m? However, I climb a fairly steep slope. It is Taizanji Temple because there is a mountain.

I went there for the first time on a tour of 88 sacred places in Shikoku. The parking lot was small and the temple was not that big. It used to be a large temple, but it was destroyed by fire in the war. There was a Christian lantern near Daishido. The principal image was Amida Nyorai.

this is a pilgrimage temple that is hard for the elderly.

    Original Text

It was a slope in the old days, but when I got older, this little slope was tough! I hate it. The main hall here was almost arsoned and burned down except for the local area of Chosokabe due to the barbarism of Shikoku during the Sengoku period, such as the national treasure, Chosokabe. It's valuable, If there were no destroyers of this cultural property, Shikoku would have been overflowing with national treasures and important cultural properties an unsuitable caregiver who tried to satisfy my desires ...
