The Knot Gun is a work by Swedish artist and writer Karl Frederick Reuterswede. The Knotted Gun was originally completed in Malmö, Sweden, in 1985, and one of the three originals was purchased by the Luxembourg government in 1988 and sent to the United Nations, the most well-known of the present day. Former UN Secretary-General Annan once said of the Knotted Gun, “with a few strokes, he outlined humanity’s greatest prayer: not war, but peace.” Our hotel in Malmö was near the sculpture. It was easy to see the sculpture and didn't know its origin. Malmö is the favorite of several cities that have walked through the four Nordic countries. Quiet and beautiful city, with architecture and sculptures. Can't help but post a few beautiful street views near the hotel, of course, it is also the landscape near the knotted gun.
There is also a famous anti-war sculpture on the harbor: a knotted pistol. Here in front of the UN building in New York, the knotted barrel can not be fired, meaning that the world does not have war to pursue peace. This sculpture can not be explained by anyone.
