No fence so you can walk around even if it's closed.
You can walk up onto the porch and around the grounds to take pictures as it overlooks Lynchburg. Beautiful setting!

This is a attraction to visit in the city of Lynchuburg. We couldn't visit it inside because it was closed. But we went through the gardens and the neighborhood.
