本州最南端！
せっかく和歌山、しかも紀南地方に来たので、レンタカーを使い潮岬まで来ました。天気が良く、穏やかな太平洋を眺めることができました。「本州最南端」の記念碑がスタイリッシュで写真映えしますが、潮岬灯台に行く途中にある木の看板の方が「南の端」を表していて、私は好きです。今度は本州最北端である大間崎(おおまざき)を訪れたいですね。

橋杭岩と大島のトルコ館・樫野崎灯台の観光を経て潮岬を訪れました。潮岬タワーや緑豊かな潮岬キャンプ場のある辺りを散策しました。本州最南端というキーワードに惹かれてやってきましたが、それまでに訪れた橋杭岩や大島でたくさんの自然造形美を見た後だったので非日常性をあまり感じませんでした。時間があれば潮岬で色々周遊されれば良いと思います。
