The road from Kuji city to the Ama Center, which was the stage of Ama-chan, is along the Kosode coast, and the scene of the Rias coast spreads out. You can see many strange rocks and steep cliffs, but this hanging cave is one of the most characteristic, and it has a hole in the middle. As the name suggests, it used to be a bell, but it's not now. You can only come by car. It is better to stop by while driving on the Kosode Coast Drive.
It is a strange rock along Iwate Prefectural Road 268 that runs along the Kosode coast. It is a large triangular rock with a hole in the middle. Please note that the road width is narrow and winding in the vicinity.
From Kuji City to Kosode Coast, I ran the commonly known as Amachan Kaido. On the left is a rock reef that stands in the sea, and on the right is a high cliff. As I proceeded while enjoying the steep and beautiful coastline scenery, a large rock with a cave appeared in front of my left hand. It's a hanging cave. The rough landscape of granite, the rugged rocks, the blue sea and the sky, was really impressive. It was named after the rock of the fishing bell hanging from the ceiling of the cave.
It was on the way to the Ama Center. It seems to be called this because it used to be hanging a bell-shaped rock, but now there is only a big cave. It is considered to be one of the tourist attractions.
It is one of the strange rocks on the Kosode coast, but Kabutoiwa and Tsurigane Cave are a little far away. It is said that Kabutoiwa was named because the tip of the rock was shaped like a helmet decoration, and the hanging cave was named because there was a hanging rock in a large cave-shaped rock, and it looked like that when I was told.
