Beautiful location
Lovely spot. We accidentally went to the wrong parking lot first- there's one that leads to an area at the top of the falls, but we wanted to walk along the river and see the bottom of the falls. Sear...
I need to walk for 1.2km upstream after parking the car before seeing this waterfall. The waterfall is worth visiting as the shape is strange when compared with typical waterfall.
The best waterfall in Kagoshima Prefecture with huge columnar jointings
The name in Japanese is 雄川の滝(ogawa no taki). I think this is not well-known. But, pretty good place to visit. To Japaneses, it's well-known as the drama opening place of Segodon. The access isn't eas...
It is not possible to miss sightseeing at the southern end of Osumi Peninsula

I stopped by on the way back from visiting Cape Sata, the southernmost tip of the mainland. For sightseeing around the southern tip of the Osumi Peninsula, I think it is a must-see place along with Cape Sata. It was a sunny day, so I could see a postcard-like view. The color of the emerald green water is really mysterious. It takes 20 minutes one way from the parking lot to the waterfall.

Let's drive.
Great. I will walk from the parking lot. The promenade is also in good condition, and you can reach the site while enjoying the scenery slowly.
