Dare County Arboretum and Teaching Garden

Nice walking garden & pond

Stopped in at the Dare Co. Arboretum and Teaching Gardens on a Saturday in February. It was an easy park to walk, and we enjoyed seeing the blooming flowers and visiting the pond area.

Beautiful, peaceful garden to take a walk in and learn about native plants.

The arboretum is beautiful even in the colder months. The paths are well maintained, and most plants are labeled. This is a nice peaceful place to explore in the Outer Banks.

Hard to find, not much nature in fall, nice walking path. The butterfly garden had a lot of pretty flowers to make up for the times I got lost trying to find the arboretum.

Best kept secret

This arboretum is like a well cared for treasure in the middle of the hustle and bustle. I recommend this for anyone looking for an oasis whether it’s trying to get out of beach traffic or a full hous...

Centrally located for the Outer Banks

We were so pleased with our stay, and were able to travel the entire Outer Banks with a trip up to Corolla to see the wild horses and the ferry ride from Hatteras to Ocracoke during our five day stay
