Yukizuka Inari Shrine is a small shrine located about a 12-minute walk from Honkawagoe Station. Adjacent to Chokiin. I worshiped when I took a walk around the nearby temples and shrines in January. Legend of white fox
It is a small shrine next to the gate of Chukiin, but there is a legend about the white fox. In the late Edo period, an incident occurred in which a lost white fox was killed, and it was built to calm the curse. Is it afraid of curse? The approach is bent at a right angle and enshrined. The fox is said to be an envoy of Inari Okami, so it's Inari Shrine.
A shrine derived from "white fox legend"
It is enshrined beside "Chokiin", a quiet alley that is one from the warehouse-style townscape where tourists come and go. The worship hall of Yukizuka Inari Shrine is on the right side of the small precinct shrine "Miminesha" in the back of the torii gate. Based on the legend of the "white fox" that young people ate the white fox that got lost in the vicinity and were cursed, the day when it snowed in the precincts of the old temple "Chokiin" from the Kamakura period, It is named after the remains of the white fox and the mound was built, and it is popular as a local Ujigami.
White fox curse
15 minutes walk from Kawagoe station. A shrine adjacent to Chokiin. It was built in 1823 to calm the curse of the white fox. The deity is Yukizuka Inari Daimyojin.
