Only a small stone monument and an explanation board.
Original Text
Toshimichi Okubo was born on the southwest side of the Meiji Restoration Furusatokan and the subsequent Historical Road Meiji Restoration Furusato Road. There was a small stone monument beside the building, and there was only an explanation board next to it. I thought it was quite poor, while the birthplace of Takamori Saigo, which was a little far away, was like a small park. Even so, the Saigo-san and Okubo-san are really close.
It is located on the main road called Naples Street. I stopped by while visiting the Meiji Restoration Furusato Road, but it's a little far away. To be honest, it feels sober just because there is a monument and an explanation here. There is also a statue of Do hall 々 in another place, so it may be so low worth a visit.
It's really close. From the birthplace of Saigo 300m!

From Kagoshima Chuo Station to the east, there are hundreds of m, which is a tourist spot with the Meiji Restoration Furusatokan and the Historical Road Meiji Restoration Furusato Road. There was the birthplace of Toshimichi Okubo around that area. It was a little difficult to find because there was only a small stone monument and a signboard standing beside the unrelated building. I also went to the birthplace of Takamori Saigo, but the distance is about 300m. In such a close place, the two people who moved the end of the Edo period were born and raised at almost the same time.
It's located along Naples Street, but it was a parking lot with only a stone monument. It's a lonely place compared to the birthplace of Takamori Saigo. Instead, let's see the nice lights of the nearest Korai Bridge.
It was just past the intersection of Korai Bridge, walking along Naples Street from Kagoshima Central Station. It is on the left side of the road. I've seen Toshimichi Okubo's monument near the Ishin Furusatokan and the statue of Toshimichi Okubo near Takamibashi many times nearby, but this was my first time. There is a birthplace of Takamori Saigo across the river, so I thought that we had known each other since we were young.

Unfortunately, there is nothing left to see.
