Penglai Taoist Temple

Penglai Courtyard is located at No. 2 Xialushi Street, Tianqiao District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, covering an area of about 800 square meters, built in the Qing Dynasty Guangxu years, is the activity place of Taoism Quanzhen Longmen. The courtyard is divided into two courtyards in the south and north, with 3 large halls, with 12 rooms, the south courtyard is Lu Zu Hall, and the north courtyard is Guan Temple and Bodhisattva Hall.

Jinan trip - visit the Penglai Courtyard of Taoist Temple yesterday morning, I went to this Penglai Courtyard in Jinan Tianqiao District, located in a very small alley. It is very interesting to remember the name. Xialu City Street, except for the houses (rural private houses) on both sides, are full of snack bars and small shops. After entering, I quickly saw the Penglai Courtyard of Zhuhong Courtyard. After eating breakfast nearby, I went in. From the west courtyard door, the walls on both sides of the gate were Marshal Zhao Gongming and Marshal Wen Qiong of Taoism. A cat lying on a wooden chair at the door was snoring and sleeping. It should also be the Taoist family! The first entrance is the first entrance to the yard to sit north and south. The main hall is Lu Zu Hall. The hall is in the middle of the hall to worship Lu Dongbin and the left and right children. The four disciples under Lu Zumen are on the platforms on both sides of the east and west. The east side of the yard is Shifang Hall. There are two Taoists talking in the southwest corner of the yard. From Luzu's yard, follow the west courtyard wall to the north, walk through a long aisle, and there is a rockery and a Taiji map behind the corner of the second entrance to the yard. When you enter the second entrance, a two-story building sits north facing south, the first floor is the Wangmu Palace, and the second floor is the Sanqing Palace. The Wangmu Palace is dedicated to the middle of the West Tianyuchi Wangmu, the Bixia Yuanjun on the west side (commonly known as Taishan Grandma) and the Guanyin Bodhisattva on the east side (Cihangdao people), are all Taoist goddess, and the walls on both sides of the palace are painted with Guanyin moment to save the story of the Eighth Difficulty. The west side of the palace is the ancestral temple, which is dedicated to the ancestors of Kaishan and the ancestors of the past generations, and the east side is the Guan Shengdijun of the god of wealth. From the east steps to the second floor, there is an iron-casted clock outside the east side of the palace wall, and then to the west is the Sanqing Palace. From left to right, there is the highest god of Sanzun Taoism. Taiqing Moral Tianzun, Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun and Shangqing Moral Tianzun (Taishang Laojun), look down to the south yard, The wall is introduced to Taoism knowledge. When I went back to Penglai Hospital, I saw that the cat who was sleeping in the door was still sleeping. Maybe at this moment it was doing the dream of Zhuang Zhou Mengdie!

The Penglai Courtyard has a history of hundreds of years, and was later destroyed. After many renovations and expansions, it became what people see in the early 1990s. The first generation of Daochang Zhang Jiaoyuan has some legendary colors. Zhang Jiaoyuan was the 17th generation of Taoist Quanzhen Longmen disciples, traveling in the outer clouds all year round, and traveling to Jinan from Huashanyun in Shaanxi in 1912. It is rumored that he only took a small bag and fell down in a dilapidated Guandi Temple outside Jinan City to spend the day. At first, Zhang Jiaoyuan's arrival did not attract the attention of nearby residents, and things reversed from a patient's psychotic episode. Legend has it that one day soon after Zhang Jiaoyuan settled in the Guandi Temple, a person with a strange illness appeared in front of the Guandi Temple, the whole person was crazy, and kept talking nonsense for a moment, and it was so strong that six or seven people could not hold it. Zhang Jiaoyuan found this family member, and opened three medications for free. I didn't expect the patient to return to normal after eating. Since then, Zhang Jiaoyuan's reputation has slowly spread, and people in four miles and eight townships have sought him to see a doctor. And he does not refuse to see a doctor, the poor do not accept money, rich people want to give money, give how much dare to ask, do not give money does not matter. In this way, the nearby residents have a good impression on him, when he proposes to travel again, everyone asks him to stay, he also conforms to the request, with the money accumulated and the support of the good people, bought more than three acres near the Guandi Temple, built a road on the basis of the original emperor temple for 6 years Guan, named "Penglai Courtyard", invited his master Ruyi Real Man to bring five disciples to Guannei to preside, laying the initial scale of the Taoist view. By 1940, there were more than 20 Taoists in the courtyard, and Penglai Courtyard reached its heyday.

A small, simple Taoist view, hidden in the downtown and residential areas, no gorgeous decoration, but everywhere transparent beauty, reflecting the indifferent thoughts of Taoists and the secluded wind bones of Taoism.
