    Cranes galore

    The shrine boasts the largest bell, but the statues of the cranes are far more interesting. Worth visiting because it diverts from your usual temple impression.

    日本一大きな鈴と日本一小さな鈴

    西出水駅から徒歩15分ほど。社号は「崎」ではなく「﨑」(たつさき)が正しいようだ。 12～13世紀頃の創建。文明年間(1469～1487年)に現在地に遷座。祭神は應神天皇、神功皇后、武内宿禰。参道入口に立つ一の鳥居は1928年建立、二の鳥居は1971年建立。随神門(1998年建立)には、青銅製総金箔張りで重さ5トンもある日本一の大鈴が吊り下げられている。社殿は1980年築だが、2015年の台風で甚...
