I was staying at Toyoko Inn, but I found it when I was taking a walk. It is a citizen hall opposite Shinei Park. It seemed that there was no particular event and it was closed.

It was a hall adjacent to the city library. The height and structure of the two buildings were completely different, but the color of the roof had a sense of unity and had a calm brown atmosphere. It was a convenient location near the remote island terminal.

A citizen hall next to the Ishigaki City Library. The exterior is unique and has a prominent presence. Modernist architecture designed by Kunio Maekawa, which was completed in 1985. The horizontal part around the entrance and the corridor is characteristic. It is the only Maekawa work in Okinawa Prefecture and is a valuable public building.

There is also a monument to the 100th anniversary of Yasutomo Ohama's birth and the Ishigaki City Library in the immediate vicinity.
