Karkloof water falls
The trip was very long.. Do not go with normal cars. Best to use a van or 4 by 4..the roads are absolutely terrible.. There is a entrance fee. Adults R60 kids R30.. The water falls itself is very far ...
Office locked up. No-one to help.
Perhaps on a weekend or public holiday. No indication of office hours, or any kind of map showing where to find what. A few posters, but that was about all.
A conservation gem!
My wife and I visited the conservation centre while on a birding excursion in the greater karkloof area. The facilities are well maintained and the ablutions are spotless. A great spot for birding and...
Great birding location
Excellent bird hides. Lovely scenic area. Informative posters. A farming area intent on ensuring conservation. What a joy.
Birdwatching heaven
Two hides at this Conservation Centre allow for visitors to sit 'hidden from view' and watch a variety of birds around the small dam at the one hide, or in the grassland at the 2nd hide.
