Historical but unimpresive
The Platte has historical significance, but if you have ever been to another state with a decent river, you might be unimpressed. It's only about 1-2 feet deep and there is trash all over the place.

A surprising but lovely place to visit. The Sandhill Cranes are in all the fields and at dawn and dusk there are incredible sunsets and sunrises with the birds calling and flying.
