Gwangju Biennale

Since 1995, Gwangju Metropolitan City has held three-month international art exhibitions every two years, represented by the Gwangju Whitney Museum of Art, and held in municipal art museums, folk museums and other places. The Whitney Art Exhibition consists of 5 main exhibition halls, a permanent publicity hall, a reference room, a planning exhibition hall, and a seminar room. The Whitney Art Exhibition mainly displays the works of dozens of famous writers in the world. As the main exhibition venue of the international modern art exhibition, it holds various themed exhibitions, including special exhibitions, international academic conferences, domestic and overseas high-level exhibitions. Festivals attended by performance groups, etc., and various side events such as folklore, dance, music, and drama.
