Songhe Building

Songhezhai is on the east side of the main hall of the Summer Resort. It was built in the 14th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1749). Qing Shengxian Empress Dowager (Qianlong's mother) and concubines lived here. At that time, "green pine pans outdoors, white cranes dance in front of the courtyard", Emperor Qianlong took the name of the Songhe to prolong life, and it was the third scene of "Thirty-six Scenes of Qianlong". This group of buildings includes the Gate Hall, Songhezhai (later renamed Hanhui Hall), Suicheng Hall (later renamed Jide Hall), Seventeen Rooms, Leshou Hall (later renamed Yuexingju), Chang Far away, etc. The Suicheng Hall was the place where Emperor Jiaqing studied and lived when he was the prince. After the 12th year of Daoguang (1832), the throne of the emperors of the Qing Dynasty was enshrined here. Bu Shou Tang was the residence of Empress Dowager Shengxian, and Emperor Jiaqing often lived here in his later years. The shape of Changyuan Building is the same as that of "Yunshan Resort", which is a high point of view for viewing the scenery of the lake area. There is a hanging flower door at the back of the building, and you can go out to the Wanhe Pine Wind Hall.
