    﨑 Tsu is a fishing village located in the southern part of shimoshima Island in the Amakusa Islands, and because the land is narrow, toya (※) develops between the kake (workplace) with pillars on the sea and the dense private houses. Along with the neighboring imatomi village, it was designated as a national important cultural landscape as 「 Amakusa City 﨑 Tsu imatomi's cultural landscape 」 in 2012, and the 'Amakusa 﨑 Tsu village' is a world heritage site. During the Sengoku period (period of Warring States), the Lord Amakusa allowed missionary work in 1566 and built a church.
