The attraction is so capricious. I came in November and it was only open one or two days a week at most. It snowed every day in November, and the park closed when it snowed. Strong winds also keep Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) closed. In fact, Tianchi is closed year-round. If you want to see Tianchi, I suggest coming in September or October. The chances of seeing it are much higher then. Luckily, it was open today... but only half open. You could only see two spots; the smaller Tianchi was completely frozen. Not much to see.
5 stars! Changbai Mountain, bringing paradise on earth to life! ✨ As a must-visit sacred mountain in Northeast China, this trip to Changbai Mountain completely overturned my understanding of natural beauty, leaving me speechless with awe! We chose the classic route of the North Slope + West Slope, which allowed us to easily visit the core attractions while unlocking different perspectives of the magnificent Tianchi Lake, making for a truly immersive experience. The North Slope truly lived up to its reputation, with superb facilities, making it perfect for traveling with my parents! After taking the scenic area bus and transferring to a shuttle bus, experiencing the speed and excitement on the winding mountain road, Tianchi Lake on the main peak suddenly came into view—the azure lake surface, like a precious mirror left behind by God, is embedded among the peaks, pure and without a trace of impurity. All my previous expectations were fulfilled at that moment. After descending the mountain, we visited Changbai Waterfall, where the roar of the water could be heard from afar. The frozen waterfall in winter was even more spectacular. The Julong Hot Spring Group emitted steaming vapors; be sure to try the hot spring-boiled eggs—the egg whites were tender, and the yolks were runny—a unique delicacy of Changbai Mountain. The Green Abyss Pool's waters were crystal clear and turquoise, dotted with waterfalls, reminiscent of "Little Jiuzhaigou." Hiking on the wooden boardwalk in the underground forest, the air was filled with negative ions, making even the air feel sweet. The experience on the West Slope was completely different. Climbing the 1442 steps was challenging, but reaching the summit was absolutely worth it! The view of Tianchi Lake here was the most expansive and complete, an unobstructed panoramic vista that took our breath away. In summer, wildflowers blanketed the mountains, creating a sea of blossoms; in autumn, the forests were ablaze with vibrant colors—every snapshot was a wallpaper-worthy image. The volcanic lava landforms of the Jinjiang Grand Canyon, with their bizarre rock formations, showcased the wonders of nature. For transportation, I recommend taking the high-speed train to Changbaishan Station. From there, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the North Slope entrance – excellent value for money! For accommodation, I chose Erdaobaihe Town, which is convenient for food and drinks. In the evening, you can stroll along the Thousand Paper Crane Street and the Beautiful Pine Park, making it super convenient to visit the scenic area the next day. A small reminder: Tickets and shuttle buses must be booked online in advance, especially for the South Slope where there are limited capacity and tickets need to be booked quickly. Mountain weather is unpredictable, so remember to bring warm clothing, rain gear, and sun protection. Whether it's the mystery of Tianchi Lake, the grandeur of the waterfalls, the healing power of the hot springs, or the tranquility of the forest, Changbaishan heals all fatigue with its purest scenery. This trip to the "Oriental Alps" was absolutely worthwhile, and I'm already looking forward to coming back next winter for skiing, rime ice viewing, and rafting!

The waterfall's diving show is quite unique. Check the schedule; it's worth seeing. If you're not going on a boat trip and just want to see the falls, you can walk there without taking the sightseeing bus.
Having visited many lakes in the south, this was my first time visiting a lake in the north, and I was amazed. The water was vast and the blue was crystal clear. Under the sunlight, it shimmered like sparkling pearls, precious and beautiful. The explanations of each scenic spot and story were also very apt. It was a wonderful trip!

Yabuli Ski Resort ⛷️🏂 is actually quite cost-effective outside of peak season because they have promotions! (Peak season is a different story... there's nothing you can do about it, for example, when the Ice and Snow World is open, or during Chinese New Year, that's peak season!) For beginners, I still recommend using skis 🎿 (you'll get the hang of it after a few falls) before trying snowboarding 🏂 (you'll fall and tumble, hahaha). Honestly, snowboarding is much harder than skiing ⛷️!
I'm from southern China and had never skied before. When I arrived in Yabuli, I jumped in without hesitation. I rented clothes, shoes, and other equipment, then hired a trainer. After a bit of instruction, I basically got the hang of it, though of course, I did have some falls. Skiing was truly enjoyable, and the air was clean and pollution-free. I just couldn't stop. Yabuli is also a famous ski resort with all the facilities you need. You can enjoy skiing to your heart's content here!

The scenery is pleasant, but the staff arranged by Ctrip this time are too bad. Tianchi is okay, but when checking the tickets, I found that the ticket for the 13th is half price. The rafting is even more outrageous. I booked a ticket on Ctrip, and it cost 15 yuan per person for rafting and returning to the destination (less than three kilometers) in a van that has been in use for many years. It cost 60 yuan for four people. What's more interesting is that the life jackets were so dirty that they were about to have worms. I also had to buy a disposable waterproof jacket, which was another 15 yuan. I was definitely ripped off all the way. If Ctrip continues to do this, I will never dare to book again!
My second visit to Changbai Mountain, due to its proximity, I chose to view Tianchi Lake from its west slope. I was lucky enough to see the entire lake both times. The water itself was so far away that it wasn't particularly impressive, but it was the vibrant colors of the volcanic flanks that made it stand out. Perhaps due to the mineral richness, the vegetation on the slopes was a vibrant green, a typical 555nm green. At the foot of the mountain, I even encountered a pair of affectionate chipmunks. They weren't afraid of people and were incredibly adorable.

The Hengdaohezi Siberian Tiger Park offers affordable admission and a great value for money, with plenty of tigers. The 10 yuan shuttle bus is worth the ride. Buying strips of meat to feed the tigers is fun. The park also features cute and lively tiger cubs, lions, peacocks, and other animals. It's worth bringing the kids.
I really enjoy the park. You can purchase some meat to feed them.

"Climb the national gate to admire the exotic scenery and experience crossing the border bridge in one step." The Tumen Port consists of a road port and a railway port, and is China's second land port to North Korea. This time, we visited the road port, and you can also visit the border bridge and the national gate. The national gate is magnificent and the scenery is also very nice. Boundary marker No. 87 is also located here.
For 25 yuan, you can get to the national gate and see the Nanyang Railway Station on the other side. You can also walk to the iron gate from the bridge, so it's not bad. It gets dark by 4:30 PM. You need to buy tickets through the national gate side; the other back gate doesn't sell tickets.

Quite satisfied. After booking through the platform, they drove directly from the hotel to the rafting location – very convenient and quick. The river was generally calm and safe, making for a very pleasant experience. The assigned driver was also very friendly!
The most famous rafting in Changbai Mountain is probably the Wanquan River Demon Realm Rafting. It's separate from the Demon Realm Scenic Area, so you can buy a separate ticket. However, since it's not in the town center, it's difficult to get a taxi back, so it's best to find a pick-up service. Despite the slightly inconvenient transportation, the scenery is incredible, and the autumn scenery is truly stunning. The water is also gentle, making the trip quite relaxing.

Wang Jianping, the tour guide, was very enthusiastic. He called a day in advance to contact us. On the day of the trip, he gave a detailed introduction to Yanji on the bus, and his language was witty and humorous. He was a very kind and helpful older brother. In addition, customer service representative Xiao Yang was also very attentive throughout the trip and answered all our questions.
Changbai Mountain is really beautiful in winter. This time I went with my family. Booking with Ctrip was simple, convenient and fast, and it was very worry-free! I recommend that you check the weather in advance and bring warm clothes. It is recommended to bring a hat, plush scarf and mask. It is very cold when it is windy.

5 stars! An immersive experience of Korean ethnic culture, the ultimate photo opportunity in Yanji! ✨ The Yanji Folk Culture Park, a must-visit in Yanji, truly exceeded expectations! A 30 RMB ticket (even cheaper online) allows for a fully immersive experience of Korean culture – incredible value! The park is open from 9 am to 9 pm, giving you plenty of time. It's also conveniently located just a 15-minute taxi ride from Chaoyangchuan Airport. The biggest surprise was the Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) photoshoot! The park is filled with clothing rental shops offering hundreds of styles to choose from, including courtly and everyday options. The embroidered patterns of peonies and cranes are exquisite, and a complete set with makeup and hairstyle is very cost-effective. Strolling through the century-old houses with their blue tiles and white walls in trendy Hanbok, the stone paths, pottery jars, and upturned eaves serve as natural backdrops. Every shot looks like a K-drama heroine – the whole park is filled with "Yanbian princesses," creating an amazing photo atmosphere. Besides photos, the cultural experiences are also incredibly rich! You can make rice cakes and taste sweet mulberry rice wine at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Hall, sit on a heated floor and listen to a gayageum performance, instantly transporting you to a traditional Korean village. There are also traditional sports activities like swings and archery, suitable for both adults and children. In the evening, you can enjoy exciting long drum dances and fan dances, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Don't miss the authentic Korean cuisine in the park! The kimchi, cold noodles, and barbecue are all delicious and perfect for recharging after a long day. The park is commercialized but not chaotic, with full 5G coverage, allowing for seamless real-time sharing on social media and connecting with photographers to adjust angles – a fantastic experience. Whether you want to take beautiful photos, experience folk customs, or introduce traditional culture to your children, this place has it all! We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and allowing 3-4 hours for a thorough visit. It's sure to be an unforgettable stop on your Yanji trip, and I've already recommended it to my friends! Would you like me to help you create a "3-Hour Efficient Itinerary for the Folk Culture Park"? Includes tips on avoiding common pitfalls when renting Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), the best photo spots, and must-try activities, helping you avoid unnecessary detours.
The Chinese Korean Folk Culture Park will host a series of activities during the 2025 National Day holiday, titled "Colorful Clouds, Beautiful Borders," from October 1st to 8th. These activities include a parade of nongak (agricultural music), a gayageum (gayageum) performance, a parade of ethnic costumes, and traditional performances such as "The Tale of Chunhyang." There will also be fun folk game competitions like pitching pots, a nighttime DJ party, and a traditional song and dance show called "Impressions of Yanji." In addition, the park's operating hours during the National Day holiday will be adjusted to 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. [__LINK_ICON]
