As the first museum in New China, the Liaoning Provincial Museum truly embodies the spirit of "understated yet rich in content"! Free admission and directly accessible by Metro Line 2 (Exit D, just a 150-meter walk), it's incredibly convenient, requiring no navigation. The architecture is magnificent and grand, with a clear exhibition layout. The 22 exhibition halls cover 17 categories of collections, including prehistoric culture, Liao Dynasty artifacts, and calligraphy and painting masterpieces, with over 115,000 artifacts to explore—a paradise for history buffs!
The must-see exhibits are truly breathtaking! The white jade pig-dragon from the Hongshan Culture is exquisite; its rounded shape is both ancient and mysterious, a marvel of 5,000-year-old carving techniques. Zhang Xu's "Four Poems in Ancient Style" features unrestrained cursive script; even the ink smudges are clearly visible under magnification, exuding the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. There's also the Murong Xianbei's gold hairpin shaped like a flowering tree and the Yongzheng kiln-fired red-glazed pomegranate-shaped vase—both aesthetically pleasing and historically significant. It was a great experience. The service was excellent. The attractions were good. I tried the indoor rafting, which was great. The fish spa was nice, with its small fish and water guns. The breakfast at the Suifeng restaurant and the food on the third floor of the hot springs were also very impressive and good.
Thanks to the rafting guy who pulled us out and helped me find my glasses. 🙏🙏🙏. The rafting waves were so thrilling. So much fun. The park is so huge. One day is definitely not enough to explore. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The service is great! No words can express my excitement at this moment❤

A nice place. Tickets to Zhaoling mausoleum (tomb) are available for purchase at the local box office. There is no need to book them in advance.
Compared to a tourist attraction, it's actually more like a large park. During the day, many people come to sing, dance, and hold activities, making it serve a better purpose.
It's not very large; you can see everything in about an hour. I booked a guided tour through Ctrip, which helped me better understand the historical background and stories. There are also official guided tours available, but if you just walk around on your own, you might not remember much.
If you have the time, I think it's worth setting aside 1-2 hours in the morning to stroll around, take a walk, and learn about the history.

I went with my parents and grandma. The air was fantastic! Although some animals weren't out in winter, it was still very interesting. The tour is very convenient; it's a loop, and you can see all the animals by following the main path! The only downside was the cold weather; many stalls weren't open, so I recommend bringing some food. There were only two or three stalls, and it wasn't crowded. I think it was better than going in the summer when it's hot and has lots of mosquitoes. Plus, they have discounted tickets now! Highly recommended! Highly recommended!
The weather was a bit cold, and we couldn't see any zebras or giraffes. The animals were packed off before 4 p.m., so we couldn't see many. The staff seemed too eager to get off work.

This is a retired 543 missile frigate, now one of Dandong's iconic ships, known as the "Dandong Ship." Although it is quite old, it still offers a valuable opportunity for those interested in military vessels to get up close and learn about modern Chinese missile frigates.
The Dandong warship can be viewed from a distance. A boarding ticket costs 35 yuan, allowing you to experience naval life in the hold. The Broken Bridge over the Yalu River can also be viewed from a distance. It costs 30 yuan to walk up the bridge and continue to the damaged section in the center of the Yalu River, where you can gaze out over North Korea. A combined ticket for both attractions costs 60 yuan, and you don't have to visit them on the same day, which is a great feature.
